Zoubir Yazid
Managing Director
Zoubir Yazid, Managing Director of ETS Global, manages the ETS global subsidiary offices in the Asia Pacific; Europe, the Middle East and Africa; and Canada. He is based at the ETS Global BV headquarters in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Previously, he worked at ETS’s Princeton headquarters for nearly four years in a variety of positions including Director of Learning & Development; Director of Strategic Workforce Solutions Project Management; and Executive Director of Client Relations. He also has worked in the New York office of Accenture, in the nonprofit sector for international programmes, as a teacher of university courses in international relations and international business, and for a governmental organisation.
Yazid’s achievements in the professional arena include a range of competencies and certifications, including the International Organisational & Systems Development Certification (2006), the Project Management Professional Certification (2005), the Northeastern University Advanced Project Management Certification (2005) and Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society for Collegiate Schools of Business (1996–present).
Yazid earned a B.A. in International Relations, an M.A. in Strategic Studies, an MBA in Organisational Behavior and International Management, and a Ph.D. in Political Science.
Gerben van Lent
Executive Director, Business Development
Gerben van Lent is primarily responsible for ensuring that ETS Global maximises the value it achieves through "knowledge". His scope includes managing intellectual capital and acting as the custodian of Knowledge Management practices within the organisation, besides leading the Market Support team which supports all sales enabling activities.
Within the domain of Governance, Gerben is charged with organising the various Board meetings that are regularly conducted to maintain and manage the subsidiary structure of ETS Global BV, and supporting the Legal and Financial Directors in governance-related matters. Gerben also supports business development and client relationship management by representing ETS Global and ETS when dealing with potential clients, government officials, external organisations and agencies, and at professional meetings. Here, he educates the market on ETS' core areas of expertise, including test design and development, test delivery and scoring, test analysis and reporting, research and development updates, and new initiatives.
Gerben has led centering on large scale assessment solutions and business development activities on behalf of ETS Global. He has presented or conducted workshops at international assessment conferences and for potential clients about quality assurance, large scale assessments and assessment and technology issues. He has contributed articles to journals in the field of education and measurement as well.
Prior joining ETS, Gerben was Senior Advisor of the International Department of CITO (National Institute of Educational Measurement) in the Netherlands. Here, he was responsible for business development and project management leading, amongst others, 3 educational reform projects in Eastern Europe and developing policy papers for educational reform. He also coordinated test- and item development programs for national mathematics exams in the Netherlands and for PISA mathematical literacy.
Gerben started his career as a teacher and teacher trainer in the Netherlands and Africa. He holds a Masters Degree from Leiden University, The Netherlands, with a major in Mathematics and minors in Economics and Teaching. He has taken courses in general management, educational management, financial management, management styles in different cultures and total quality management and capture management.
Pascal Mevellec
Executive Director, Sales and Fulfillment
Pascal Mevellec joined ETS Global in 2007 and currently holds the position of Executive Director, Sales and Fulfilment. He is responsible for expanding ETS Global’s presence across and beyond the 80+ countries where it operates.
Pascal’s responsibilities include all sales activities such as managing the multiple branches, and anchoring the relationships that ETS Global has with various partners across the world, by contracting with them, marketing the product portfolio, etc. He has been instrumental in expanding the geographical coverage of ETS Global from 16 countries to 85. Pascal’s scope of work also includes ensuring the quality and security of services offered by ETS Global through its Logistics, Scoring and Customer services cells.
Pascal brings 18 years of prolific experience in sales and marketing to his role at ETS Global. Prior to this, he has worked in international companies such as Xerox, NCR Systemedia and Palm One. He has held positions of responsibility covering multiple geographies in all these companies.
Pascal has a Master’s degree in Marketing and Sales Management from the Institut Supérieur du Commerce de Paris (ISC).
Frédéric Ledien
Director, Business Support
Frédéric Ledien has a Masters degree in Business and Administration from the Sorbonne University Paris I, as well as a Masters degree in Human Resources Management and Communication from CELSA, the Sorbonne University Paris IV. Ledien has over 18 years experience in various international for-profit organisations such as FIAT (Magneti Marelli & IVECO) and the SORIN Group (Medical Device sector), focusing on Human Resources, training and development aspects, both at the subsidiary and Headquarters level.
More recently he held the position of Human Resources Director in an international Public Health non-profit organisation whose headquarters were located in Paris. He was in charge of creating several foreign offices and establishing the HR global policy and its management at local level. Throughout his education and career, Ledien has been developing and strengthening his skills in English, Swedish and Italian.
Ledien joined ETS Global BV and its Executive Team in October 2010 as Business Support Director to manage Human Resources, Legal affairs, Information Systems and Office Management across the ETS Global BV footprint. The Business Support department, which comprises six persons based out of Paris and Amsterdam, provides daily support to all departments to enhance and ensure the development of ETS Global BV businesses, and their sustainability.
Fiona Ellis
Finance Director
Fiona Ellis joined ETS Global BV in August 2006. Based in the Paris office, her responsibilities include financial reporting for ETS Global, ensuring the accuracy of intercompany reporting and ensuring effective cash management. Fiona develops and administers the financial policies of ETS Global, and also develops reporting procedures in support of business growth and expansion plans.
Fiona has over 12 years experience in international finance, also covering treasury, taxation and business review. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in the UK with KPMG in London, Fiona moved swiftly into the business arena first with Emap PLC and then IIR in The Netherlands, where she was handling and managing financial issues for all companies worldwide. Here she contributed to building a sold financial reporting base ensuring transparency and control and also improving the profitability in line with corporate objectives. Prior to ETS Global, she was with NPD, a global marketing information company based in Paris, where her drive and motivation ensured the swift implementation of the financial reporting system so that business performance could be managed effectively.
In the companies that she has worked in, Fiona has successfully developed financial models for internal and external reporting.
Fiona is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) from KPMG, London. She has graduated with a BA (Hons) in Accounting, and Finance and Economics from Essex University.
